On the pill & no period.

I'm reguler with my pill and never miss a period while I'm on it. I'm about two weeks late and took a test when I first didn't start, but it was negative. I haven't taken another, but my normal pregnancy symptoms are heightening and I am scared. I spotted two separate days: once a few days before I should've started and once during. I don't know if that's important, but yea... We have two kids in a two bedroom and my husband just lost his job. This would be terrible timing for a third. I'm hoping it's just stress. Any suggestions??
