What is it like being a military wife/girlfriend?

It’s difficult. People will say being a girlfriend doesn’t matter and the military won’t acknowledge you but wife isn’t much better. You’ll get told dates but military sees spouses as ‘if army wanted you to have one they would’ve assigned you one’. Depending on the job depends a lot with how often they’re gone for training.

It sucks lol. My boyfriend is on deployment and we’ve had our ups and downs through all of it. He should get home in Nov. but obviously we will see.
