my son is turning one next month, when is it the right time to start introducing cow milk to him?

I started about a month before he turned one. Started making his bottles part formula part milk and slowly reduced the formula until it was all cows milk he was getting.

Our daughter was fully on cow's milk and almond milk at 11 months. Prior to that I was giving her sips and small amounts in her sippy cup. She's been consuming dairy since she was 6 months. I never combined cow's milk and formula. I started by replacing her daytime formula feedings with milk and then after a week, I also took away the morning feeding and then a week later I took away the nighttime one.

I did it when he was a year.

I started at a year but what I did was I pumped breast milk and did a 1/4 of cows milk and 3/4 of breast milk in a bottle then slowly over the course of a month decreased the breast milk and added more cows milk. New tummies can’t handle the protein and enzymes in cows milk so they need an easy transition over.
