Can you suddenly start being allergic to specific things?
I’ve never had a problem with any food or object in my life (although, I’m only 19). But for the past few months, I’ve developed weird reactions to specific things.
One is dairy. I used to drink milk and eat cheese all the time, but now every time I eat it, I get really bad stomach cramps, nausea or constipation. My sister is lactose intolerant, although she’s been that way forever. I assume I’m becoming that way too.
My second is smoke. Not cigarette smoke, but I guess fire smoke? For example, my mom was cooking chicken and it started smoking and my eyes started to sting/water and I started to cough like crazy. This has never happened before. Even at dinner we had a candle lit and we had to blow it out because my eyes were hurting and I was coughing so much.
Is it odd to develop sudden allergies?
