How long did it take to heal to those who had an episiotomy? Any advice how to recover faster?

I had a 3rd degree tear with my first. Took a few weeks to really feel good enough to be called normal (not being sore when I walked too much or pushed myself to hard)!  Had an episiotomy and tore with that one.
With my second I had a 2nd degree tear/ episiotomy.  And recovery was a breeze. I hardly realized that I was recovering most days.

I’m not going to sugar coat it , recovery was hell . But on the flip side , on day 6 i felt almost
Normal again and it was better every day after that . 
Witch hazel pads! I even had witch hazel in a spray bottle

Take your pain meds !! You will be ok! Every day will be a day closer to feeling normal!

I didn't have an episiotomy but I did have a pretty bad second degree tear. I had issues with hormones so it took me about 10 weeks to heal completely.
