I actually had that today. More of a tiny spot than little string BUT I then lost a piece of my mucus plug the next time I peed. Haven’t seen any more blood or plug since that little episode so thinking my body is getting ready?

Could be the start of something. Keep an eye on it. Have you had sex recently? The cervix is very vascular so any disturbance can cause bleeding.
