I got the Nexplanon implant in my arm on May 21st, and the following day, my period was “scheduled” to start. I asked my nurse, who reminded me I may not get periods after the implant, if my period would start tomorrow. She said she wasn’t sure, and I accepted that for what it was.

Fast forward 9 weeks to today, I got my period on that scheduled day, AND IT HASN’T STOPPED. It’s not my usual flow, it’s very light like it would be at the end of a cycle, but with all the cramps and hot flashes. I haven’t been in contact with my nurse yet because I’ve been waiting for the “periods” to stop. Is this a concern? Has anyone else had this happen to them?
