How is your SO feeling as you are approaching your due date?

Hey guys, so I have two kiddos from a previous relationship. I am expecting baby #3 and this is my husbands first biological child.  He is such a wonderful daddy to my kids and really he does see my children as his own.  When I told him we were expecting he cried and hugged me. He was so excited but since then he hasn’t really shown much excitement about baby. When I ask him he does say he is excited but I am obviously WAY more pumped up than he is.   I know it’s different for women than it is for men and it’s hard for them to bond until baby is here. 
What has been your experience with your SO during your pregnancy ?

My SO isn’t very emotional or mushy. He is still pretty excited. At our baby shower everyone was joking that he was glowing as well. 😂 
He definitely won’t pour his heart and soul out but he’s always there for me and makes sure to help me even when I don’t want it. I have a feeling I’ll finally see him get emotional when our daughter is born. In my opinion, the moments he does get a little mushy mean so much more because they don’t happen frequently.

my partner is so chill if you didn't know him you would want to say he's an apathetic person but he's not.  This is our second together and he said it just doesn't feel real to him until the baby is here. We have two girls and this is our first boy and the first time we actually have a room just for the baby so he'll go sit in there and just hang out.  it melts my heart

I’m in the same situation with two kids from my ex husband and this is my SO’s first child. But he’s way more excited than I seem to be lol. I didn’t want anymore but seeing him with my kids made me realize I wanted a child with him.

My hubby was apprehensive but excited when I told him we were expecting (we both experienced loss so it was hard) and he got more excited at ultrasounds. During our 9w ultrasound he gave the baby the nickname that stuck “Little Minnow” because of he baby looked at the time 😂
He hasn’t been too crazy pumped since but will feel the baby and is very attentive. I didn’t see the same excitement from him until this past Monday after I got home from my appointment and told him I’d started dilating and effacing. He got excited again and has been so the last few days.
I’m not too worried about it because he’s so chill all the time. I know he’ll cry when baby is born and be so excited to be a dad!

I think my husband is silently getting nervous. He’s not one to get super nervous or stressed. He’s a pretty calm guy. I think he won’t get “nervous” until our son is here, and that will all be due to all the newness that comes with having a baby for the first time.

Well, for one he has patience of a saint.. he's put up with all my shit lol and he's been so good when I'm keeping him up all night every night. He leaves the house at 2 in the afternoon for work and isn't home until 11:30 at night and I feel so bad but like he says, I can't help it and it's all part of the pregnancy and it's for our baby. Now all through out my pregnancy I have felt ready but now I'm 4 weeks away from my due date I'm starting to shit it! Him? He's the most LAID BACK PERSON EVER!!! He's not feeling nervous, scared, no nothing!! He's a closed book though, he always has been, but I know soon as I'm in labour and our son is born it'll break him lol.

my husband is excited but he's calm. but when the baby comes he's overprotective barely want me to hold the baby lol. thats how he was with our first son. Hopefully he shares this time lol

Mine is very quiet. I try to get him to talk about how he is feeling and he usually just says he's nervous and scared for something to happen to me and the baby. He doesn't like to talk about it because it gives him anxiety and he likes to be in control of it. I was like, Well....it helps to talk about how you're feeling beforehand so you won't end up fainting and having a panic attack when it happens.

He’s getting frustrated. I’m getting more and more hot and uncomfortable. In turn I am more grouchy. He’s trying to be understanding but I know he’s getting pretty fed up as well.
