EBT + Cash aid question!

Hi! I have a question on regards to my title. I’m new to the system and still learning more about it. I started a month ago barley. The thing is one of the workers called me but he was extremely mean to me on the phone. He said he scheduled me for an appointment and that it was going to be for an agreement/plan because the help I’m getting wasn’t going to cut it he said this besides saying I don’t know what kind of cheap have but next time answer my calls. And it was just today that I had one missed call. My phone has been giving me problems but I still get all my calls. He scared me with his tone of voice and now I’m scared to go to my appointment because I will have to see this man and I don’t know what this appointment is much about or what we will be talking about. Someone who’s in the system please help me with this. Also I’m from California if that helps. I’m a single mom of 8 months old and i don’t work because there’s no one that can take care of my son and the only day care that’s in my small town doesn’t accept children until they’re 2 years and up not sure why. Also I don’t work because of that and because it’s a very small town and there’s not much work but the fields. I do freelance as a make up artist and that’s how I get money but that’s the only way I can help myself. My sons father has never been in our lives since the moment he was concieved which was a horrible way and I won’t talk about it but Incase anyone is wondering about the dad.
