Why are so many people voting No? I’m genuinely confused. How can you justify that. I think it’s manipulative and childish as well as emotionally abusive. Especially if you try to reach out and they continue to ignore you. What if you live with that person? Super fucked up. Could never catch me doing that.

Sometimes I just really need my space after a fight. I’m trying to work on my anger and I get extremely disrespectful and the only way to cool down is just to have my own space. I’m an extreme introvert and the only way for me to regroup is to just be a lone with my thoughts. Sometimes it takes me a couple days.. especially if it’s a big enough fight to where I need to contemplate leaving which has only happened once.

No it’s not, unless he has otherwise isolated you from having other people to communicate with. He’s allowed to be mad and not want to talk to you.

To me, it would be. I have an overwhelming fear of abandonment and severe anxiety. *trigger warning* after 3 days, I'd likely end up with suicidal ideations. I'd end up hospitalized in order to protect myself from myself. Just thinking about this happening to me is making my heart race. NO ONE should be treated like this. It's not healthy for a relationship either. At all.

if its done as punishment for your partner instead of working through the problem like healthy people should, then yes. however, sometimes i get very overwhelmed and need to collect myself so i retreat into myself. thats not a punishment, but something i feel i need to do to protect myself. it can be interpreted as giving someone the silent treatment but im not doing it as an actiom against the other person. so i think it depends

Sorry, but everything is not abusive... Your SO shouldn’t be forced to speak to you, if they need space to calm down. Sometimes people need their space, and while it may be childish, he isn’t doing anything to harm you. No this is absolutely not abusive.
