Hair dye washing out?

I just got my hair dyed a dark brown (demi permanent) and I took a shower and I noticed that some of the color was washing out. Is that normal? (The hair stylist did demi permanent instead of permanent because she said it was stronger)

I’m a hairstylist, you’ll see a bit of colour & that’s okay. It may fade a little bit. Also you might want to use sulfate free shampoo to try to keep your colour in because that could be taking it out more

Yes I'm pretty sure if she didn't wash it out enough when you we're getting it done.

I might be wrong but I think you're meant to wait a day or 2 before washing your hair after getting it dyed. Idk if that's still true or not though
