so there’s a live action teen titans tv show being filmed and it has received a lot of backlash for casting a black woman as the orange alien Starfire. The backlash and harassment the black actress has received has led her to disabling the comments on all her Instagram posts. This isn’t the first time this has happened either, there was backlash against Amanda Stenberg playing Rue in the Hunger Games, people were also angry over the most recent remake of Annie, bc Annie was played by a black girl in it. And in the last Star Wars the Asian character Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) the actress also received a lot of hate from fans and even deleted her Instagram.
