So me and my SO are french canadian with a love for Scandinavian culture. I felt in love with that name while watching how to train your dragon. What do you think for a little girl!? any other Scandinavian names suggestion?

I agree on the spelling Astrid and do like that name. Astride literally means having ones’ legs spread apart so I’d steer away from that spelling.

I voted ugly because I thought you meant Astride like how you ride a horse. Astrid is lovely and if that's what you mean then I think it's a great name.
