My 9 week old has been sick this week, her dr. actually booked her in hospital for a night with a viral infection called Metapneumovirus on tuesday night. She had to be on the nebulizer etc. We've been home a couple days but while she's been sick she isn't feeding as normal.. EBF and drinking for 5mins instead of her usual 10mins-ish, but got a bit better and I've been feeding her more often to make up for it. But now she's refusing to eat at all. I essentially have been forcing her by standing up, walking, rocking and singing to distract her so she'll eat. Which works, but also only for about 4, 5mins. She's tensing her whole body and crying and pulling away. Any STM's been through this at all? Could it just be that she doesn't have an appetite coz of not feeling well? She's also on an inhaler for a few days, as well as a couple of nasal l sprays. And her normal reflux medicine. Any advice/experiences appreciated, hate seeing my baby like this.
