Did/will your LO(s) have a first birthday party?

no because I feel it's a waste of money when my son can't even play yet nor does he even care about his birthday. I wasn't going to pay top dollar just for other kids to enjoy HIS day and him just sit there 🤷 I took him to the aquarium, the park and had a little birthday cake with new toys and clothes that's about it.

We will probably do a small family-only quick cupcakes party.

We did a small thing with my parents and sisters. It was the same as any other dinner at their house except we had cake and a few presents. It was perfect for us.

We planned one with just family and his cousins and then my son had double pink eye so we just did my parents and my husbands parents.  And I didn’t reschedule because I was lazy.  He didn’t know any different and loved his cake and pizza anyway!

We did family and close friends (like 3 people not related came). I made the cake and cupcakes and my husband cooked hotdogs on the grill. Did very light decor (got everything at the dollar tree). Made sure to take lots of pictures. The 1st bday is more for parents and grandparents to enjoy than the kid. He did have fun playing with the cousins though.

Yes I’m going all out. I already have everything planned out theme & all just need to order everything. Just because they won’t remember doesn’t mean anything to me my baby gets the best

With my first, he had a huge first birthday party. We rented out a party hall and everything. With my second, we did nothing..mostly because of so much going on in our personal life, we just couldn’t find the right time or place to do a party.

We are DEFINITELY giving our daughter a first birthday party. We're doing an African Princess Theme Party! We are so excited!!! We have been planning the party since April, the party will be October 28th! The planning (theme, venue, decorator, photographer, etc.) is pretty much done with the exception of a few things. She won't remember anything, but there will be lots of pictures taken and we will have it recorded as well for her to look back on.
