Depo Shot

This is my 4th month on the depo shot and i have been ovulating and I think right now I’m supposed to be on my period but the depo stopped it. My cramps are much worse than before and I’m wondering if my body is trying to ‘fight’ or get used to birth control. Has this happened to anyone else?
