more than 6 cycles of clomid?

anyones dr let them do more than 6 cycles of clomid? I'm in my tww on my 6th round now and was curious about what to do next if it doesnt happen this cycle. so I asked and she said I could just continue clomid. I have ovulated the last 3 cycles.. I've heard that it can cause a thickening of the lining, but she said as long as I'm ovulating it doesnt cause a thickening.. just wondering if anyone else has done more than 6 cycles? and any success?

my doctor won't allow more than 6 cycles of clomid (not sure what is next since I'm on my 5th), but my friend's doctor in the same practice has had her on something like 10 months straight, which sounds horrible.
too many cycles can cause thinning of the lining, and if I remember right can raise your risk of ovarian cyst, ovarian cancer, or permanent damage. but I try to avoid researching too much doom and gloom.

I have done eight in a row but now looking back I don’t think it’s a good idea. It can thin your lining and I have even heard cause permanent problems. I don’t know if that is completely true but it scared me. I have switched to femara. Has she mentioned switching it to something else? Have you done iui?
