Cosleeping?

We bed share. It works for us. I think it’s the natural thing to do... plus I’m a SUPER light sleeper and my husband doesn’t move and we have a king size bed.

We don’t fully cosleep but my son wakes around 4:30/5am to eat which is when my husband is starting to get up for work so when my son is done eating I lay him in bed and we go back to sleep for another hour or two. Also if I’m super tired during the day and need to nap during his nap time we’ll cosleep because he’ll sleep better and longer. 
I’m and early childhood educator and I teach absolutely NO cosleeping because of the risks to baby. However now being a mom I’ve done A LOT of things that “are never okay” because I’m in survival mode hahaha.
If done correctly it can work. I also think on a limited basis is the best so baby starts to self soothe and regulate to help the transition into being alone

I try so hard not to, but my child hates sleep. HATES IT! She won’t take a pacifier because she knows it will soothe her to sleep. If she starts to doze off she’ll start screaming to wake herself up. Sometimes cuddling is the only thing that works and by that point I’m so tired that I fall asleep with her.

my daughter has slept in her crib only since about two months. and I wouldn't hardly sleep when she was in the bed with us. and my sanity came back when I started being able to sleep again.  I'm not one to be against cosleeping but it just wasnt for us.  plus my sex life came back once she was in her crib.  😉

We did some of the time in the early months because our little guy nursed so frequently,  but he's been in his crib since 5 months. We are all sleeping a lot better, but you gotta do what works for your family.

We tried a couple times and none of us slept well 🤦🏼‍♀️
The only time it worked was after a road trip and she didn’t sleep for 6 hours. We got to out destination and we all slept in a king size bed for 2+ hours

I have bed shared with all my children while nursing them.  I have a separate cosleeping bed (mattress on the floor) in our bedroom for baby and me.  It’s our safe sleep space - no fall risk, no pillows or soft bedding, away from walls (entrapment risk) and baby sleeps on his/her back.  
As baby gets older I snuggle and nurse to sleep but then move to the adult bed.  I can easily move back to nurse for night-wakings.  Sometimes I fall asleep in the cosleeping bed and sometimes I move back to the adult bed.
