What to do?

I recently moved in with my mom when I finished school and found out I’m pregnant. I always have grown up in a dirty house but every time I clean it just gets messed up again and it’s very frustrating. The house is a mess cluter and filth. And I recently have found bed bugs. I can’t move out because I have no credit and I make $530 each paycheck and will be taking maternity leave when baby comes. Idk what to do but I’m freaking out.

Hi. I’m sorry to hear about your situation. I can imagine it is stressful. My advice would be to seek help. I know there are programs that offer housing assistance and especially if you are expecting a child. If you are luckily and have a Planned parenthood near you that could be a good place to start. They usually have really great resources. I wish you luck and hope things workout!

I don't know where you're from, but look into your state offering WIC! It helps out a lot for you & baby (providing essential foods for balanced diet)! Also, look into getting SNAP. You don't have to use it forever, but assuming you're single while pregnant.. you'd qualify.. & once you're able to do more for yourself as far as that goes, you can stop using the program. That would cut out a lot of $, saving you some for potential bills. But, as long as you're having you've there maybe look into hiring a weekly/bi-weekly maid. Just search the web. If it's within your financial means to do so, maybe just getting the person to clean the main rooms within the house or just general maintenance even bi-weekly can help. Get an exterminator over asap as well! Also, try setting aside at least $20 A paycheck.  It'll add up quicker than you think. I would just look into EVERY ounce of help given within your state until you're able to be on your feet. It's not shameful, it's just life! Reap the benefits that are there while you're eligible - that's why they're there. I even know someone who was provided WIC, SNAP, & extra $ for gas while being in school. Some states also assist in finding suitable, affordable housing for single mothers. I too grew up in total filth, and my mother's house is still unbearable even not being at it's worst. I feel your frustration, love. Just stay open minded, frugal, & look online for an "out".

if its that bad I wouldnt bring a newborn into it. maybe stay with a friend or another family member.

You need to to stay with someone else with a cleaner environment. At least till you have the money to get your own place, even a studio apartment:))
