desitin is the best that works for my little guy. A&D; works great for drool rash

What diaper cream do you recommend?

If you’re gonna breast feed buy nipple cream and nursing pads. Good nail clippers and gripe water. My little one is 3 weeks and I can say we go through a lot of wipes! So I would stock up on those. Also an air purifier was something we found to be useful.

If you’re not breast feeding you don’t need it!

I made my registry on amazon *obsessed w amazon registry!* and luckily everyone bought everything I needed so the only thing I had to buy was things for myself. I bought a robe for labor, a few maternity bras for breastfeeding/pumping, nipples shields, & nursing pads! You really can’t go wrong with stocking up on long sleeve & pants zipper onesies!

Not everyone likes them, but swaddles save my sanity because it keeps my LO asleep longer. I got one from the hospital, but I like having 4 of them since it allows me time for washing, drying, etc. My LO will smack herself in the face if her arms aren't swaddled. I personally bought gift cards to Sam's Club and set them aside for diapers and wipes just because I knew my nieces and nephews ended up unable to use two different kinds of diapers due to sensitive skin, so instead of buying and returning, I just got gift cards. I barely got any baby bath/lotion/creams etc at my shower, so I ended up having to buy that. I would also start stocking your medicine cabinet for the baby, things like gas drops, gripe water, etc.

Also, personally I love having a bassinet that I can have right by our bed. My LO's crib is in her room, but she will be sleeping in the bassinet in our room until at least 6 months. That way if she fusses right after I put her down to sleep, I can just lay my hand on her and talk softly and she will go back to sleep without me having to get up.
