cramps lower back pain

im 16 weeks and yesterday I started to get period like cramps and lower back pains on and off. Pain is only mild but it worried me enough to go get checked out. Doc gave me an ultersound and said everything looked fine. I have still been getting them on and off today. wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
