Non-Korean kpop group(s?)

The real question is, do you need to be Korean to Sing kpop? Is it insensitive to the Korean culture? Thoughts?

I think that anybody can sing, but why would you go directly to k-pop? There’s no difference in kpop style compared to any other pop..?

erm... what??? unless you personally are Korean and offended it's not your tea 🙄 I see nothing wrong with this though unless it's making fun of the culture and the genre of music. nobody owns any type of genre if they did rap would solely be black artists only and the world not have Eminem. like I said unless it's mocking the culture or genre what's actually the issue?

Isn't Korean pop just pop music by someone who is Korean? So if you're not Korean how are you doing Korean pop? I don't know much about it though because I've never listen to it.

if they speak the language correctly, and respect them, and are actually good why not. i mean a few k pop idols that i know of were actually born in the us in LA only to move back to Korea

Non Italians sing Italian operas. They also sing in Latin. Marshall Mathers raps. Motown music had a variety of people involved. I’ve heard spirituals sung in white churches. Music is diverse and universal.

I don’t think the race matter but KPOP has a whole genre, if you actually listen to it and see the different groups and the concepts and how they hold themselves in public eye, including how they work good as a team or come up for their solos! Some solos are ughh some soups are ughh that’s how it is, but I only idolized because that’s what’s groups back then used to be, you never heard of scandals like doing drugs and going to jail except for 2014 they had a bad year and freaking TOP as well. But it’s more so the music and if they can bring the same concept and hold themselves the same why the hell not.
American music is not even music anymore of you see what trending on the charts it’s just Trap, everything is freaking trap like no meaningful melodies, no love, not hate just gang pull up and mindless people thinking XXX was god the second he died. 
As long as they adapt their culture just like how 69 adapted trap 🙄 it’s fine but honestly lol I’m not going to stan them unless they’re pulling Seventeen’s lover boy concept & GOT7 melody concept 🤷🏾‍♀️.

K-pop is just a style of music. It has nothing to do with being Korean. It’s just the pop music that formed there. It’s silly to think only certain people can sing certain genres of music.
