What’s the soonest your doc will do a membrane sweep??

Does it just depend on dilation or do you have to be a certain number of weeks?

I got one at 37 weeks (it has done nothing) I was 2cm dilated at the time..all it’s done is cause painful cramping for the last week..we’ll see what the plan is this week..

Both. Most drs won’t do it until you reach a certain point. Mine wouldn’t until I was 38 weeks. You also have to be dilated or they can’t actually get a finger in there to do the sweep.

Mine said she would do one at 39 weeks (later this week!) if I wanted, but I think it all depends on your doctor and your situation.
