When are you supposed to stop cramping after a cervix check?

Basically had my cervix checked by doctor 5 hours ago and I'm still cramping. I've pulled from the discomfort and pain of the cramps.

He/She may have done a membrane sweep without your consent/you knowing. It’s routine practice at many places unfortunately.

I have bled and cramped for up to 48 hours after every cervical exam so far. I think it just depends on your provider and how rough they are.

If you’re really worried I would call your OB/midwife. I’ve not had a cervical exam since the first tri, so I’m not much help. But it doesn’t seem like it should last for more than a few hours to me
