When should we tell everyone? First child!!

We have decided this together as a couple. I was just curious of what everyone recommends.

im currently 8w2d. we arent telling anyone esp my son who is 8 years old till 10-12 weeks. if we tell my son the world will know haha. ive had 3 miscarriages. just had 2nd sono today doc is on top of me...And he is doing bloodwork at 10 weeks so we can find out then what baby is but results wont be in till around 11 weeks.

Immediate family and a few close friends know now after our first ultrasound (7 weeks). We will make it Facebook official at around 13-14 weeks! It's SO hard to wait!

I'm getting my first ultrasound at 6 and a half weeks this Thursday. as long as baby looks good and has a heartbeat we will be announcing two days later at my daughter's first birthday by putting her in a big sister shirt 😊 Then on social media the next day, even though our account only has family and family friends.

We told family and close friends at 7 weeks with our first. We shared on social media around 10 weeks. This one, I would like to wait a while. I still haven’t lost weight from my first so it’s easier to hide.

My first pregnancy, we told our immediate family and close friends as soon as we found out. I miscarried at 10 weeks, and having to tell so many people was BY FAR the worst part. Turns out both our moms had told other people. It was so frustrating to have to share such a vulnerable time with so many others. This go-round we waited until the first ultrasound to tell anybody, and even then we only told our very immediate family. I’ll wait until 12 weeks to tell anybody else.

We have only told our parents and a few friends. Haven’t even told our siblings or other family members yet. I’m torn with not having told family yet. We’ve had one early US at 5w6d and go next week and I’ll be almost 10 weeks. So we will tell family then and announce socially around 12, since we are doing a family pic session with our daughter.

I think it all depends on what you want to do. with our son we told everyone (and fb lol)  after the first ultrasound at 8 weeks. this one (currently 7 weeks)we have only told a few people,  and will tell everyone else's and make a post after we find out what we're having .

We waited until 17 weeks with our first (when we found out the gender) and will probably wait at least until 20 weeks this time. We told family right away though.
