What are hemorrhoids? **TMI**

Forgive my ignorance, but what are they? How do they feel? I kind of have an idea of what they are from what my husband has told me, but I have no clue how they feel or anything really. I don't know how you get them or anything. I'm asking cause I'm pregnant and I've been extremely constipated and the other day, well, TMI.. I was in the bathroom and it hurt a lot to push that thing out! When I wiped I was bleeding. I thought it was cause I spent a good 20 minutes trying to push it out and it was dryer than the 🏜️ desert. So I was bleeding a little bit and I've been irritated since then. I've had some bowel movements since then and it hurts that area where I bled from, but I thought it was cause it hasn't healed properly because of the time I bled and pushed out that solid rock 😖 I haven't bled anymore, it just kind of hurts and feels uncomfortable when I go 💩 I've felt around there because my husband said they're like little bumps or something and can't feel anything like that.
