Slow trickle - water broke?

Question

I just got up and went to the bathroom, and as I was walking back to my bed I felt fluid drip down my leg. I think my water might be leaking. It wasn't a gush or anything, and I have no contractions. There is no need to call my OB yet, right?

Thank you all! Called my OB and he is having me drive to the hospital to get checked. Guess I will find out what's going on soon!!

Usually you would want to put a pad on and see if it fills within an hour and see if each time you get up you feel it again...

That’s what happened with my first, I felt a trickle when I woke up, went to the hospital I was 39+5 and they confirmed it was my water. I therefore got admitted and started me on pitocin to help me dilate. This time around last Friday I got up and leaked fluid so I’m here thinking it’s my water leaking just how it happened with my first at this point I was 38+2 so I call my husband from work and my sister in law so she can come watch my little girl. Well we get to the hospital and nothing! It was apparently discharge with some mucus plug since they look under the microscope. I was so frustrated because they said there’s really no way to distinguish vaginal discharge from an amniotic fluid leak since they both look like water ughh!!!!

This happened to me! There was no big gush or anything, just every once in a while a leak.. I had some irregular contractions that by the next morning became regular, and intense caused me to go in to triage, turns out I was in labor but my water did not completely brake, I just had a leak!!
I would call your OB for sure, whether you're having contractions or not, see what they say.. Good luck!

This happened to me last Thursday a couple hours after I lost my mucus plug. I called my OB and had me come in ASAP. They told me my water had broken and I delivered 12 hours later :)

I’d stick a pad on and do a little sitting and moving. But I’d call OB whether it fills or not
