What is this?

Hate to be that Mom..... but my son has had a runny nose for a few days and then this rash showed up just as my Husband and i started getting cold symptoms (sore throat, runny nose, etc). I’m pregnant and just scared this is fifths disease. 😳 Anyone have any ideas about what this could be? Thank you!!

Looks like a heat rash. My baby had the same looking rash.

Could just be a viral rash from a fever or something (even though your LO may not have shown signs of a fever). It could be 5ths but your LO would have really red cheeks and in my experience, the rash looks more blotchy. What trimester are you in? The biggest risk with 5ths disease is in your first trimester. If you are later in your pregnancy then it isn't something to worry about. 😊

I'm a nurse practitioner and it could be roseola. A fancy word for a viral infection that causes a fever/viral symptoms followed by a rash that starts in the trunk. If your baby is staying hydrated and eating I would just monitor.

I cant tell to much from the picture but my kiddos get strep rash on there body it kinda looks like that. I would go to the doctors
