Had my first dilation check at 38 weeks today. Screamed the whole time. I’m usually ok with Pap smears and get Brazilian waxed regularly and have always had bad period cramps. Now I’m worried about my pain tolerance, especially with an induction next week. Doctor said it may have hurt more because I’m completely closed.

Anyone have a similar experience? any advice on how to tolerate the pain? I know I have quite a few checks to go.
