Hi ladies! So I’m 38 weeks and 4 days as of today, FTM. My high blood pressure levels were a bit abnormal and i was told to go to labor delivery for an induction because of fears of preeclampsia. They started to induce me yesterday at around 3pm with an oral medicine that I had to take every four hours 4-6 times. This was supposed to start thining my cervix because of course I came in with a hard, high cervix not even 1cm dilated, nothing. Well, we are at the end of the doses for the pill thing and they checks and nothing. My cervix is still high and no cm, so it’s not giving. They are going ahead with the insert which is supposed to take 12 more hours to work and will check again tomorrow morning before starting with Pitocin. I’m afraid that if my cervix doesn’t budge they will want to do a csection. Baby is happy and they keep calling her a rockstar because she’s doing really well and apparently nothing is bothering her, which I’m super thankful for. I guess my question is whether any of you have any experiences or encouraging stories because I’m starting to get a bit discouraged. How long did the whole process take for you? I’ve been here for 27hrs so far and I just want to hold my baby 😭
