Do you let your 8months old watch tv????!!!!

I know cause I read that you should not let your infants near tv , but i also heard a lot of moms say that its not true and did not cause their kids are just fine

Our pediatrician says that excessive screen time has links to adhd. Says the lack of communication between the tv screen and baby isn’t good. We limit screen time but I have to be honest, my husband introduced our 9 month old to Moana and she loves it. Sometimes it’s my saving grace. If I need to get something done or after we wake up in the morning and I need to pump, make breakfast, etc., it’s really helpful to have 30 minutes to prepare for the day. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I watch tv and play with her in the floor. She doesn’t show any interest in it but I’m not against it as long as we are playing. My husband’s cousin was a young dad and always sat his baby in front of ice age and he watched it over and over and over and it always worried me, he’s 7 now and just fine in school and plays sports . I definitely don’t agree with that but his baby wasn’t delayed in development.

Mine watched only in planes to keep them busy when they were unmanageable, but at home we only watch TV once they go to bed. 
Personally I don’t think that TV is good for such young babies, but to each their own. Besides the plane they never had any screen time.

At first we were a strict “no” but, our son absolutely loves the Baby First channel. It is very educational and he giggles and laughs and gets excited...he still plays and crawls etc. so, we do let him watch tv.

I was very strict about this, but I just let my son start watching. I feel like it’s inevitable. My in-laws we’re trying to get him to watch tv for a long time. We haven’t had cable in the longest time but people keep telling me we need it for baby. Anyway, he only watches videos with singing. He has no interest in watching shows or movies. And of course,  I limit screen time.

My 8 month old loves Baby first tv. Harry the Bunny and color crew help when I’m cleaning the living room and after the show we go back to playing with her toys together. She now waves and says bye bye every time her show is on.

I dot let him watch it all the time, but even at daycare they have the tv playing so he’s going to watch it regardless and it’s honestly don’t believe in that, letting him watch a lil tv will let me get some stuff done

Yea. My son loves Peppa pig ive never heard of tv being an issue honestly. I have nick jr on all day usually unless football is on or something else i really want to watch. My son plays on the floor with all his toys so hes not sitting there staring at it for hours on end he will watch for a few mins then start playing with his toys and glance at it again occasionally.
