I work in my church’s nursery and spend only 10 hours a week playing with babies from newborn-2 years. So I wouldn’t call this a very stressful job. That being said, is a full 6 week maternity leave really necessary? I don’t seem to think so, but ive never had a baby before! :) I do understand that should I return to work earlier than 6 weeks, I shouldn’t pick up any of the children until then. But I don’t see any harm in any of the other things I do at work (ie, sit on the floor and play, rock in a rocking chair, sing and dance) What do you mamas think? How long should I wait before returning to work?
