Magnolia safe to burn?

My husband wants to make a brush fire to get rid of this massive pile of old brown magnolia tree leaves we have in our yard. He wants to know if magnolia leaves are safe to burn, but we haven’t been able to find anything for sure on the Internet, and now he wants me not to ask this question on Facebook but rather on Glow so I can be anonymous 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyone ever burned magnolia leaves before?
