Facebook baby shower invite

I am having a baby shower in September. My host (she offered to throw the baby shower) had to bail out due to a bad family situation. My husbands cousin offered to host. I had to send out the paper invitations to family and older generations but, I have a a lot of people to invite that are on social media. Should a Facebook invite be made or is that frowned upon? I know of evite but don’t know everyone’s phone number/email 😩
