Personal pref: What’s the rush to have kids!?

Question

Why do people rush to have kids? Kids are a real handful as told by my family members and they told me to enjoy all the time that I don’t have kids. This must be my personal preference but they just don’t seem that important as to purposely drop out of high school because “I want kids” ..I would understand if you are unexpectedly pregnant, because you cannot help that. This one girl I used to be friends with told me that she was with her boyfriend for a month and they were “trying to have a kid”...really?...one month?. Anyways, whatever floats your boat right..

You have your whole life to be an adult. You’re only young once. You can’t get back the value of this precious free time and growing as a person during your twenties.

Totally agree... I don't plan on having kids any time soon, and if I ever do, I'm hoping to adopt.

I personally had zero interest in being a mother as a teenager. I managed to get lucky and have consistent cycles/health so having my first at 25 is much better than if I were 15-20.
