my dermatologist may recommend to go on birth control to reduce my acne (im 16).

my mom said if it has to be done then she’s okay with it but she thinks having birth control at a young age is bad for my reproductive system.

is this true? i’m also sexually active with my boyfriend and my mom is aware that we use full protection at all times.

my question is is that is it safe to go on the pill even for a couple months at such a young age?
