When you were in labor were you offered a mirror while in labor to watch your body progressing until the doc came to deliver your baby? did you accept it?

When I went into labor my nurse asked me if i wanted a mirror to watch what was going on and at first I said no, like I didn't want to see that😂 but as soon as they said he was crowning I changed my mind and got to watch him crown until the Dr. came to deliver him💕

So above me there was a light but they turned that light off and it was basically a mirror. I said I wasn’t going to watch myself give birth but I honestly couldn’t stop starring at the Drs hand that was all the way up my cooch helping to get the baby 😂😂😂😂😂😂 and watching myself push, especially seeing my son crown, was the biggest motivation to push him out!!!!

I loved having a mirror! I had an amazing epidural so I couldn’t tell what I was doing! The mirror was very helpful!

Not a mirror but I had a home birth and my midwife had me feeling for her head in my vaginal canal to keep track of how close she was to coming out! I told her no at first but near the end I did it and it was so cool!

I did ! When i seen her head i was like ok i need to give it my all and if it wasn’t for me being able to see everything i don’t think i would’ve had the strength to push

Yes but I had my eyes closed when I pushed so I saw nothing which sucks now.

They offered as I was pushing and I said yes. I don't really remember it though, I was so tired by then. They kept me up all night, turning me every hour or two to keep labor going.
