Only washes out bottle with water ?

My mom keeps washing my baby bottles out with water and she says it’s fine they don’t need soap. Is she wrong and I should have her use soap or not. I personal use soap when I wash them out. But she just rinse them out with water.

Bottles have to be rinsed, washed with soap and sterilised after each use. Your Baby could get sick using your Mother’s method. I would kindly ask your Mother to wash with soap and sterilise as you do before feeding your Baby.

Your babies mouth introduces bacteria to the bottle and nipple. It absolutely should be washed with soap! Not sure why she would think otherwise.....

With soap and water, if you only use water every time it’ll leave an oily and slimy feeling inside of bottle.

I never sterilized my bottles except before first use,  but I always washed them every time.  that sour milk smell sticks if you don't wash them.

Wash them yourself! You’re supposed to wash with soap and sterilize them!

If I'm using the same bottle I used at his last feeding, I *might* just rinse it out and do it again, but that has happened maybe twice. You have to use soap and water to properly clean something. Anything. Would you rinse off a dirty plate and then use it for yourself? Nope. Make sure she washes your bottles with soap or refuse to let her do them.

I find that just rinsing leaves them feeling a bit greasy. I use hot water and a bit of dish soap. I also put them in a sterilizer periodically

babies can get sick and infections like thrush please rinse in soapy water and sterilize by boiling after every use old milk can create harmful bacteria..
