How do you know when you’re ready to me a mommy?

How do you know when you’re ready to me a mommy? I love the idea but it also makes me a little nervous. Did it eventually click with you or did it happen unexpectedly?

Ive wanted to be a mom my whole life. But I wanted to do it my way. I'm 28 married to the man I've been with for 10 years , home owner, debt free with two brand new cars (just got my mom/family SUV!), my husband is a Forman that gets bonuses , I've finished school and currently stay at home wife. Our relationship has always been stable and happy. 
My goal was to finish school and be married. We have sadly lost 2 pregnancies but ready to start trying again. 
Everyone's thought is different. My sister , she's a couple years older than me. Got pregnant on accident in 2014 and ended in a miscarriage. Not knowing how fertile you are after she got pregnant with twins right away. They were very high risk twins. Sadly lost them at 18 weeks. She waited about a year to track. Had a healthy baby girl. Sadly she's been dealing with a lot. She was never "wanting" to be a mother but after the loss she did. She now struggles everyday with depression. She loves her child but she's a stay at home mom , she now has to go to therapy once a week because she had a mental break down. They didn't wait until her bf was stable in his job so they constantly struggle with money. My mom pays for a lot. 
Everyone's situation is different. It's when you feel you are ready. Don't rush just because. Don't feel pressured. I always said I wanted to be a young mom (23-24) but I look back and am so thankful we waited.

I’ve wanted to be a mom since i was 15 years old. Now I’ll be 21 in a month or so and the feeling has only grown more as our friends keep having babies. We’ve been together for 3 years now, both have nice dependable jobs and good cars and a decent home. We want to be as prepared as possible when we have our first and i cant wait for that day to happen. I look forward to the joyous things as well as the lack of sleep from 3am feedings and fighting nap time and the spit up and cutting teeth. Im ready to experience both the fun and the hard parts
