TTC Frustrations!

I just needed to take a minute to vent my frustrations!

I went off of birth control about 3 years ago because my blood pressure was high. At the time my boyfriend and I were very serious and kind of excited and figured we would get pregnant when the time was right.

My blood pressure came down. My period never came. I wasn’t pregnant.

I went back to the doctors who said I was overweight and needed to lose 25 pounds. Done. I lost weight pretty easily, my periods came back but very sporadically. By this point my boyfriend and I really want a baby but my body just wasn’t cooperating.

Now, it’s been about 3 years. I eat healthy. My periods are regular, that boyfriend and I? We’re married. Yet, I’m still not pregnant.

Every question out of everyone’s mouth, “when are you having babies?” “Are you knocked up yer?” “When are you giving me grandkids” and it’s so frustrating because they don’t know how hard I’m trying.

Literally AT the SAME time, those SAME people want to be the ones that continue to say “relax, it’ll happen when it happens” “just stop trying” “you’re thinking too much about it”

Do you know what you’re mentally doing to me?! Not only am I stressed out due to regular life, but I’m actively wanting more than anything to start a family, which you consistently want to remind me of, and then when I genuinely want to voice my concerns you tell me to “stop thinking so much about it”.

Everyone wants to ask you about it. Everyone wants to celebrate the joys of pregnancy and a new baby but nobody wants to acknowledge all of the struggle, tears, pain and sadness behind it sometimes. It’s not easy for all of us. Sometimes I want to just talk about it. Sometimes I want to cry. Sometimes I really don’t want to be alone in this struggle. But nobody around me gets it.
