Ultrasound moved, doctor said too early!?

Question

My doctors office just called me and told me they went to change my FIRST ultrasound appt. I am 9 weeks tomorrow. 
My first appt with my obgyn, all he did was check my uterus. That was it. My first appt I was 8 weeks. They didn’t check for a heartbeat or anything.
If you were in my shoes, would you be pissed!? I’m thinking of changing doctors.

You could always do an elective one at a local clinic. They can go as cheap as $65 in some areas! Ultrasound clinics are popping up all over the place now offering 3d imaging. Google one in your area! I’m in the middle of nowhere and still have 3 options within a 2 hour radius!

My doctors office doesn’t refer you for ultrasounds until 12 weeks and 20 weeks.

Do you have decent insurance? When do they want to reschedule you for? Could me they don't want to waste billing your insurance for an ultrasound when it would be better to wait until it would be more productive. I've had 2 and it was a $50 copay both times and only one showed anything at 7 weeks and they won't be doing another one until I'm about 14 weeks.

I think it’s normal. My first appointment was at 7w5d and the midwife didn’t even look at me. Just filled in forms regarding medical history. My first ultrasound is scheduled for 03 Sep when I’ll be 12 weeks. I’ve had a private one at 7w and will have another one at 10w when I go for the NIPT (also private)

I go at 8 weeks for my first real visit and that includes a ultrasound. I would call around and see when other offices do them.
