Pre-E, Angel Mom 👼🏽
Sept 9 will make a year that I gave birth to my son. At 28 weeks I was not feeling well and I rushed to the hospital. It was then discovered that I had preeclampsia. There were signs prior to this appointment that was not a major concern.
The day I went in for a check up turned into a nightmare. I was told I’d be on bed rest till it was safe for me to deliver. I had no idea what was really happening as bad news was being thrown at me. The next morning I woke up and was told I needed to have an emergency c section. The scariest moment of my life also turned into the best moment. I got to meet my son. He was very early, but the 8 days he spent with us was the best days of my life.
I was told to wait 18-24 months before trying again. I would have to start baby aspirin after the first trimester to help decrease the chances of preeclampsia happening again and being as severe. My partner and I are very afraid to try again. Anyone have any success stories with pregnancy after preeclampsia ?
