What does it mean if a guy ask you “what are we?” What do I say? Please read below.

Side note: we’re not in a relationship but we do spend almost everyday together. He is someone I dated at 14 but ended up losing contact when he moved down south. I’m 23 right now just graduated college with a job in my field of study. I have my own place & I’m doing pretty well

(not to toot my own horn). He’s 24 and recently moved back about 3 months ago and we’ve been together just about every day. He’s also doing very well and has a place of his own. We spend almost everyday and night with one another & last night while in bed he asked “what are we”. I didn’t know what to say so I kissed him and said nothing but I’m sure he’ll bring it up again today.

(We did reconnect over social media yearssss ago and have kept in touch ever since).
