Do you need to wear condoms with Nexplanon?

I kind of had a pregnancy scare thus the reason I had the Nexplanon inserted so I could have more reassurance. I'm going to start having sex again finally. 
I was wondering if it's wiser to still continue using condoms or if he doesn't have to? I know Nexplanon has a high success rate at preventing pregnancy I just want to be sure.

you don’t need to but it wouldn’t hurt

As long as u wait the 7 days for it to be effective, and there’s no worries about STDs, then a condom isn’t necessary. But, it’s completely up to u whether a condom is used or not.
