Music & essential oils during delivery??

Question

I heard people say to bring an ipod (or phone) lol and use slower relaxing songs during labor and fast upbeat during pushing. Are you allowed to play it just off your phone or small speaker or do you need to have headphones?
Also would they let you bring a small essential oil diffuser?

It depends on your hospital/birth center. Most places will give you a list of what you’re allowed to bring or schedule a tour. We’re taking birth classes through our hospital and that includes a tour of labor & delivery.
