I think my rod is causing problems

I recently got the rod in my arm a month ago. I’m 15 and ever since then my boyfriend and I have noticed I’m extremely moody all the time. I’ll be happy for the whole day and then the second he says or does anything that annoys me even in the slightest way I lose my shit like I feel so so angry and it becomes an argument but then I calm down and realise I over reacted. I don’t know what’s causing me to be so sensitive lately it’s really making problems for me and I was wondering if it could be the rod because I’ve been told it can cause mood swings?
