I’m in dire need for a job & now that my morning sickness is subsiding I got to start looking, we really need the money but I’m scared no place will hire me..does anyone know who will?

I’m in the same position.. I recently got fried from my job over some pregnancy nonsense && now I’m having to look for a new job. It’s truly stressful because I’m 19weeks && starting to show. Alotttt of places WILL NOT hire pregnant woman and honestly I find that stupid. So The interviews I’ve been having I don’t even mention anything about being pregnant && when the question comes up” why did you leave you’re previous job? ” my response is “Personal Matters”.. wish me luck for this interview I have tomorrow 🤞🏽.

You aren’t required to disclose pregnancies prior to hire. I’m closing in on a new job and not telling em shit.

I was in the same position. My last job fired me bc i was pregnant but of course they lied and said it was for other reasons ( I did nothing wrong) so it took me about a month to find something new and I was completely honest w my current employer. Everyone around kept telling me not to tell them I’m pregnant but I felt bad knowing I was and lying about something that will soon come go light. I ended up getting hired and it was the best decision!

I'm having the same problem. I'm almost 22 weeks,  my job said they can't let me work in my department anymore and put me on FMLA. I applied for a supervisor position in another department but I'm not confident I'll get it since I'm definitely showing.

I recommend keeping it under wraps until you certainly get hired. Employers will see you as a liability, it’s just a fact. But once you get on a team and you show them you do a good job, then you can say you just found out late. They cannot legally fire you just for being pregnant. It’s labeled as disability discrimination.

I’m 21 weeks almost 22 and quit my old job at 19 weeks because I was miserable. I got an interview with a grocery store three days ago and just wore a big knitted sweater and nice jeans/shoes. I got hired that same day lol. You can get hired but i do recommend concealing the belly if possible.

I’m 19 weeks and looking for a job as well! I just graduated with my bachelors and my summer internship just ended but I don’t want to jump into a “big girl job” right now because I’m going to want to take an extended maternity leave. So I told my husband I’d find a corporate marketing job next summer but I want something easy to do in the meantime that makes okay money but I can’t find anything. I interviewed for a few front desk positions but I think I am just over qualified and I tell them I am pregnant and idk if that’s the reason I’m not getting offers.. I’ve been apply to more online jobs.
