How did you quit your job? 👋🏻✌🏻

I had one job a long time ago when I was 18. I hated it. The manager was horrible to me. One day I came in 5 minutes late because of traffic. Complete accident, but I get it was my fault.. and I heard her tell a coworker “that bitch is lucky she’s here now I was gonna fire her” 
So I clocked out in front of my boss, gave her my work hat and name tag without saying anything and left. 😂 I would never quit a job again like that obviously. But I look back and don’t really regret it. 
Anyone else have any quitting job stories??

Wow what a terrible boss! 
I've quit several jobs because I was moving but have quit twice for another reason. 
I was hired as a line cook and for nearly a week they tried to make me a dishwasher AND paid me the dishwasher rate, so I tried to have a talk with the manager who was never around and couldn't "find any time" to see me. So I left a note on her desk saying changing my employment paperwork to a different title and pay rate without me agreeing was illegal and I was quitting and reporting them. They erased half my statement in outprocessing paperwork and left it as "I'm quitting...and will not work the rest of my schedule "
Another job was a daycare worker. This time I worked a week and noticed multiple violations of safety and ratio rules. I had not yet completed training and was left alone with ages 4-9 which are supposed to be seperated, and I had 14 kids! the ratio was 1:10 For ages 4, and 1:12 for older kids.
I was also not given breaks and was never paid! I reported them because they didn't strap babies in high chairs for eating, and left bleach and other chemicals out in the open instead of locked. The doors also didn't lock and we were next to a highway. They were shut down a few months later.

working at subway I was 19, I was a great worker got prompted to shift leader the first month. I needed day shift because of daycare which I got. Soon her husband nephew got out of prison and she gave him a job. Well she took my whole schedule and gave it to him which put me on night shift. I called her and told her I needed day she told me to change it so I did. But after the employees told me I wasn't suppose to do it with a red pen (only color we had) plus I didn't know. Well the manger came in and saw it took my name of the whole schedule for a week... So I waited till lunch time waited till the line got long as hell and I took off my hat and apron and walked out smiling. Next day had a interview with Wal-Mart and got the job with benefits and more pay was there 4 years.

my first job I was 16. I worked there for over a year. I was a great employee, came in early stayed late came in whenever I was called and hardly ever called in. well a few months after I turned 17 I was on my way home to drop my 14 year old brother off and get ready for work. we got tboned. my car was totalled and my brother was in the hospital for 3 days and I was in the hospital for like 6 hours. my mom's then husband called into work for me because I was in a car accident and obviously couldn't work. the accident messed me up pretty good mentally. my boss didn't believe we were in a accident, it was all over the news and Facebook and e everything. my boss made me come into work and show her a letter saying my brother was in the hospital still unconscious and that I was discharged and show her pictures of my car and of my brother in his hospital bed. she made me go back to work the next day and when I asked for a week off work to get mental health help because I tried to kill myself I was told I had to give her two weeks notice before I could ask for the week off and she wouldn't even guarantee I would get the week off. well I got it off and ended up not doing impatient care and was doing out patient care and could work. I told her this and was given 50 hours that week even though I asked for 15. I was treated like shit everyday because of my accident. when my boss called me a liar and told me I was never in the accident and bitched at me for being a bit spacey I walked into work 5 minutes before a 12 hour shift on the busiest day and handed them all my shit and told her I quit and she was a shit boss. she told me I was banned from that place and I could never go back

I worked somewhere for three years and my manager was the biggest asshole. I was filling pop for drive thru and he walked over and dumped them all out. He’s like you need the drinks for this car first but I had already given them out and he refused to take blame. So then someone filled up the lettuce too high? So I threw it out because he was bitching and he pulled me into the office and said he was “disappointed” in me. I quit 2 days later, and he asked me if it was over lettuce 😂 nah guy, you’re an asshole.

I worked in housekeeping at a local resort for almost 5 years. Did above and beyond for my boss. And was treated like crap towards the end. I had back to back senior class trips in my rooms, with disrespectful 17/18 year olds. I didn’t have a check in after the last group left. So I told the person filling in for my boss to block some rooms so I could come in on my day off to finish, so I wasn’t rushed and could do a good job. Mind you I hadn’t had a day off in over a week. I was leaving for the day at 4:30 to go home to my children, and my boss told me I wasn’t allowed to leave. I told her I had more important things to do, she questioned what was more important. And I told her my children. She got nasty with me, so I told her I quit! (Pregnancy hormones got the best of me, I was around 6 weeks) I ended up staying and finishing my job (I clocked out at 6pm). Went in the next morning, hoping we both cooled down. Walked in, she asked why I was there. I handed her my keys, and told her I’d be there Friday to get my paycheck. Haven’t heard a word from them since.

I would of walked up to her and said “this bitch is saying fuck you and your job”.... 
But seriously I have had horrible bosses myself. I had one phone me up and accuse me of stuff for a full week and would have me in tears. No one should put up with it. Well done you for holding your head high :) xx
