When did you or are going to tell work?

I am 13 weeks and 1 day. I had an ultrasound at 11 weeks and everything looked good. I won’t have another until 20weeks with my doctor but we will probably go to a private clinic for a 3D ultrasound before then. I haven’t told work yet because I’m so nervous. There’s been a lot of changes and I’m nervous about adding more. When did you tell work or plan on it? Should I wait for another doctors apt to confirm everything is still ok or just go ahead and let them know so they have a long notice?

I’m 14 weeks and I really don’t plan on telling them (meaning they find out on their own ) , but since I have to they will be notified at 20 weeks.

I told my job early cause I work retail with boxes,  ladders and stuff I had to quit doing.  I was 8 weeks.

I told my work early because we were moving to a new building and I couldn't help lift heavy things!

I told them at 5 weeks. Now 13+3 and they got me off work since last week. here where i live they have to adapt the work to make sure there is no danger for the pregnancy. if they can they have to sign me up for a program so i could get money for staying at home. Now i can really take care of myself and the baby!

I told my job as soon as I found out. But I work for a small company and are really close to those girls. You should do it when you feel like its necessary/you want to though :)

I told my work at 6 weeks. Not tooting my own horn, but I not being there is a big shift for the company and no one else there does what I do, so I wanted to give them as much time to prepare and make a plan and possibly have me train a temp as possible.

I just told. It’s a little weird, but I figure, it’s happening so ready or not. Plus I’m showing already somehow (first time mom).

I have a meeting at 15 weeks exactly with the person who advises on sick and disability leave. After talking with her I’m going to meet with my supervisor and the university department dean to discuss the specifics. The first meeting will give me a good idea of protocol and what I’m entitled to, and then I’ll work out the actual dates and such with my supervisors in the second meeting.

I’m telling my job at 13 weeks after my next appointment because we have a department planning meeting coming up about a week after that. If I wait to tell them at 20 weeks, it will actually cause more stress and work for me to try to rearrange and squeeze things in before I’m out! I work in nonprofit though and have a very family-like team so I am excited to share with them and have their support!
