Not to long of a story but here’s how my daughters birth went..

Sunday at 5am I wake up feeling like I peed so I go to the bathroom to use the bathroom and there is a puddle in my underwear I’m thinking oh great peed on myself. So I clean up get dressed get back in bed. 530am feel like I’m leaking or peeing again but again I’m like it’s nothing but this time I don’t move. So my SO wakes up because he said I was staring a hole in his face and says what’s wrong I’m like either I’m peeing or leaking. He gets me up I go to the bathroom he’s like your water broke. I call the doctor and she says yay sounds like it’s time now Kim. I get dressed slowly thinking I don’t think it’s time.

645am arrive at the hospital am checked and told I’m 4-5cm and water broke. I just smile contractions are coming rather quickly about 2-4mins apart but not to bad. I’m giving antibiotics for group b strep around 8am and epidural to slow contractions because they wanted me to get 4 hours of antibiotics. Did not want epidural but got it after much debate.

11:25am I’m 8cm. I stayed 8 for 3 hours I stopped having contractions. They give me Piction to start my contractions.

1:50pm checked again finally 10cm start pushing.

3:01pm my daughter Kimani Is born.

I spent my entire labor laughing and joking with my SO nurse doctor and mom. It was a breeze and great experience. I am a ftm and felt so empowered after this. Good luck to all you mamas out there getting ready for your LO births. You got this ladies have fun with it and smile threw the pain.
